FIRST GENERATION

1. Karl Gottlieb Ratsch ⁽¹⁾ (photo) was born on 5 Sep 1848 in Deutschhammer, Kreis Trebnitz, Silesia, (now Czeszow, Poland). He emigrated in 1882 from Iron Ridge, Wisconsin. He died in 1937 in Lewiston, Mn.. He was buried in 1937 in Luthern Cemetary, Lewiston, Mn.. He resided Mayville, Wisconsin 1903 to 1906 in Dodge Co. Wisconsin. He resided Lewiston Mn. 1906 until his death in Winona Co., Mn. He came to America in 1882, settling in Iron Ridge, Wi, where he lived until 1903. He lived at Mayville, Wi. from 1903 to 1906, when he came to Lewiston, Mn. He died at his farm four miles northwest of Lewiston after a lingering illness.

He was married to Karoline Kinel on 12 Oct 1875. Karoline Kinel was born on 15 Aug 1850 in Schlottau, Kreis Trebnitz, Silesia. She died on 21 Dec 1927 in Lewiston, Mn.. Karl Gottlieb Ratsch and Karoline Kinel had the following children:
