12. Karl Gottlieb RATSCH (7) was born on Sep 5 1848 in Deutschhammer, Kreis Trebnitz, Silesia, (now Czeszow, Poland). He emigrated in 1882 from Silesia. He immigrated in 1882 to Iron Ridge, Wisconsin. He died in 1937 in Lewiston, Mn.. He was buried in 1937 in Luthern Cemetary, Lewiston, Mn.. He resided Mayville, Wisconsin 1903 to 1906 in Dodge Co. Wisconsin. He resided Lewiston Mn. 1906 until his death in Winona Co., Mn. . He died at his farm four miles northwest of Lewiston after a lingering illness. He was married to Karoline KINEL on Oct 12 1875.

13. Karoline KINEL was born on Aug 15 1850 in Schlottau, Kreis Trebnitz, Silesia. She died on Dec 21 1927 in Lewiston, Mn.. Children were:

child iv. Carl (Charles) Gottfried RATSCH(8) was born on Jan 14 1882 in Breslau, Silesia, Prussia. He died in Jul 1973 in Rochester, Nursing Home, National Health Ent., Rochester, Mn.. He was buried in Jul 1973 in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Rochester, Mn.. Charles worked at various jobs such as farm labor, in the iron ore bed, helping cut wood for fuel and helping with the butchering at various places in the winter. At 16 years of age, he worked for 7½ months for $100., which included room and board.

He was a Lewiston farmer and also was a chauffeur and yardman for Dr. J. Pemberton, in Rochester, Mn.
